On December 1st , Gino Kenny TD of People Before Profit will bring a bill to the Dail that seeks to legalize cannabis oil for medicinal use. If passed, this bill would have a huge impact on the lives of many people who suffer from a range of chronic and incurable illnesses and pain.
Gino has campaigned for legalization in order to help children and others who suffer from conditions including:
- Dravet’s Syndrome, an illness that causes severe fits and can be fatal.
- Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a rare brain tumour
- Multiple Sclerossis
- Fibromyalgia
- Numerous other conditions including rare and difficult to treat tumours and various forms of chronic pain disorders. In these cases there is overwhelming evidence that cannabis for medicinal use could make a huge difference to the quality of life of sufferers and their families by relieving pain.
